VEGANÂ
A vegan diet - also known as the Plant-Based diet - contains only plants (such as vegetables, grains, nuts, and fruits) and foods made from plants. The vegan diet excludes all foods that come from animals, including dairy products, honey, and eggs. Vegan-friendly foods include fruits and vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds, and nut butter, tofu, plant milk, and whole grains.
VEGETARIANÂ
The vegetarian diet focuses on plants for food. A vegetarian is someone who doesn’t eat any animal flesh, however, some may still eat animal products such as eggs, honey, and milk. Vegetarian-friendly foods include fruit, vegetables, nuts, grains, and dairy.Â
PESCATARIANÂ
A pescatarian is someone who chooses to eat a vegetarian diet, but who also eats fish and other seafood. It's a largely plant-based diet consisting of whole grains, nuts, legumes, produce and healthy fats, with seafood playing a key role as the main protein source. Many pescatarians also eat dairy and eggs.
POLLOTARIANÂ
A pollotarian (aka a pollovegetarian or a pollo-vegetarian) is someone who will not eat the flesh of any red meat mammals but does include chicken, turkey, and other poultry. They may or may not also exclude fish, seafood or products like eggs and dairy from their diet.
